The SOZO Podcast is a ministry of AMEN.
AMEN (Adventist Medical Evangelism Network) mission is to inspire healthcare professionals to go beyond providing just physical care to their patients but share Jesus Christ as the ultimate healer of mind, body, and soul.

John Shin
Medical Oncologist
Dr. John Shin graduated from the Loma Linda University School of Medicine and did his internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship training at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following this, he completed a fellowship in cancer immunotherapy at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Shin is currently an assistant professor of medicine at the Loma Linda University Cancer Center, and he is passionate about helping students maintain their desire to serve God and to serve humanity with their careers as they progress through training.

Suzie Lee
General Dentist
Dr. Suzie Lee is a graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry. She was first introduced to AMEN while in college when she heard about the AMEN free clinics. She was inspired to volunteer at a free clinic and, as a result of that and other experiences as a short-term missionary in various international countries, God placed a passion on her heart for sharing His love through medical evangelism. Her desire is to, not only provide medical/dental services to patients, but through personal interactions share the Christ she loves with those around her.

Josee Bailey
Josianne Bailey, MD, MBA, is a Loma Linda School of Medicine graduate who is a PGY-3 in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Loma Linda University. She is pursing a future as a hospitalist and clinician, as well as continuing to use her side hobby of music to share God’s love. Her journey through medicine has had its mountains and valleys (shared in the first few podcasts of Sozo), which she is now grateful for as it has given her the heart to better understand the trials and suffering of her patients. Her hope is that Heaven will be more full because of how God brings us together to share, encourage, and teach each other through our high and low moments in this life.

Adrian Beyde
Adrian is in his final year of medical school at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester, MN. He will be starting his residency in Emergency Medicine in the summer of 2022. Although it is often busy, Adrian believes that being in training is the best time to get closer to God and to find ways to serve others. He hopes SOZO will encourage those in training by sharing practical lessons and testimonies from others on a similar journey.

Davern Holloway
Davern Holloway is a third-year dental student at Ohio State School of Dentistry pursuing her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Until recently, Davern never dreamed that she would one day become a dentist but she always knew that she wanted to serve others in a tangible way. She prayed that God would show her what career path to take and He sure did! She is thrilled to be nearing the end of her dental school journey and is excited to pursue a life of ministry in her field. Davern is passionate about God and is excited to be part of the Sozo team with the goal of helping other young adults, like herself, navigate their career journeys with Jesus at the center.

Courtney-Lynn Stahl
Courtney-Lynn Stahl, MD graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and is now in Family Medicine Residency in southwest Ohio. She believes in the power of sharing stories as a way to not only connect with patients, but to grow spiritually, professionally and personally. She hopes that this podcast can serve as a reminder that, as healthcare professionals, our identity and mission should be rooted in the love of Christ. In her down time, she can be found listening to other podcasts and audiobooks, eating bread and/or pasta, and spending time with family and friends.
